GAME RULES
- Stealing: You are allowed
two steal attempts per inning. Advancing a base
on a passed ball/wild pitch is considered a steal. Advancing
on a pick-off is considered a steal. Advancing on an overthrow,
during a pick-off attempt is considered a steal. If you
attempt a steal after you have your second attempt, and
you are tagged out, the runner is out. If the runner reaches
base safely, time-out is called by the umpire and the runner
returns to the base he came from. A base runner cannot
advance on an overthrow during a steal. You are not allowed
to steal on the catchers return throw to the pitcher. The
player may start to steal once the pitch passes home plate.
- Overthrows: A base runner
cannot advance when the overthrow comes from an attempted
steal. This would be a throw from the catcher to a position
player. Advancement on an overthrow to a play allows all
runners to advance one base. This rule applies to all bases.
This rule is meant to limit the advancement of the runner
to one base. It does not guarantee the base, as a play
can still be made on the runners. A player trying to hit
more than a single can advance one base on an overthrow
per hit. As an example, a player hits the ball in the outfield,
and goes for a double. The throw comes from right field,
past the shortstop covering the base. The runner can go
to third. If an over throw is made trying to get the runner
out at third the runner cannot go home. Should a runner
be on first at the time, that runner can continue to score,
despite the play at second.
- Pitching: A pitcher can
only pitch 6 innings a week and 4 innings a game. If a
pitcher pitches more than 3 innings he/she cannot pitch
without two days rest. So if someone pitches 4 innings
on Monday they cannot pitch again until Thursday. The week
is Sunday to Saturday. A pitcher cannot pitch on back-to-back
days. 1 pitch constitutes a full inning pitched. Once you
pull a pitcher, he/she cannot go back into the game as
a pitcher.
- Five run rule: You are
limited to 5 runs per inning. If you have bases loaded,
and have scored 4 runs, only the 5th run counts in the
score. Do not let your players keep running. Do not throw
the ball around the infield. Call the 5th run, and call
the players into the dugout. In the sixth inning, either
bottom or top, and the batting team is down by more than
5 run, that team stays hitting until they tie. If the batting
team is down 5 or less, they can score as max of 5. If
the visitors tie in the top of the 6th, the home team only
needs one run to win. If the home team is down more than
5 runs, they can only tie. You would hold one extra inning,
should time permit.
- Bunting is allowed
- All Players must slide at home
plate, 2nd or 3rd if a play is being
made at that location. The slide must be feet first. You
can dive headfirst if you are going back to a base.
- If a player should have slid
into home, 2ND or 3RD and did not
the umpire will give (1) warning per team. After warning
the umpire will call player out.
- All players must bat.
- Any late players must be put
at the end of batting order.
- Kid and or coaches may coach
the bases. (Kids must wear helmets)
- No throwing bats (1 warning per
game) after that it is an out.
- 2 hit batters in one inning or
3 in a game pitcher must leave the mound.
- 2 trips to the mound per inning
3 per games or pitcher must be replaced.
- 3 ½ innings for a complete
game.
- Rainouts are scheduled through
league contacts.
- If a game is cancelled home team
must contact the umpire.
- If there is a game to follow
an inning may not start 20 minutes before the start of
the next game.
